AUGUSTA, West Virginia – The General Federation of Romney Christmas House Women’s Clubs will be in full swing Nov. 5-6 at Hope Christian Church on US Route 50.
COVID-19 distancing will be respected and masks are recommended for the health and safety of participants.
Artisans who have been participating for over 40 years will be joined by new artisans this year. Contact Mary French Barbe at 304-822-5790 or Linda Browning at 304-822-4792 to reserve a spot.
The Christmas House will be open Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Local GFWC members will have cookies and gravy, sweet buns, homemade vegetable soup, sandwiches, cakes, cookies, pies, sweets and drinks as well as pecans and nuts. nuts for Christmas baking.
Returning artisans include Joyce Beavers, log candles, crocheted napkins, and holiday arrangements; Maurice Edgar, bowls and vases turned on the wheel; Liddia Beeman, signs, gnomes, gift boxes and children’s items; Janet Shanholtz, country furniture and decor, wax castings and candles; Tina Lee, goat milk soaps, lotions and body products; Teresa Bisset, knitted and crocheted hats, scarves and shawls; and Joan Maggio, ceramics and baskets.
The new artisans are Anna Mae White, the diaper cakes; Theresa Allen, glitter cups, night lights, makeup brush holders, coasters; Patricia Buckley, cocoa bombs, homemade dog treats; Greg Snyder, woodworking articles; Arielle Powers, farmhouse decor, doormats, jewelry; Cara Lynn Diehl, pearl jewelry, bookmarks and photos; Stéphanie Fulcher, acrylic paints; and Kimberly Garver, bowl comforters, ornaments, antique glass candles.
