Donald Trump and Melania Trump brought joy to Christmas and brought happiness to a 7-year-old girl who was seriously injured after a tornado hit her home in Missouri.
Avalinn Rackley’s grandmother, Pam Moore, posted a video of the child on Facebook where she is seen all excited.
In the video, Avalinn is seen smiling as Moore says, “These boxes came in the mail, and they’re from President Trump! These two boxes. Can you believe it?” The girl with the back brace shouts happily, “Oh my God!
The video also features her father, Trent Rackley, who like Avalinn’s younger brother Alana did not suffer serious injuries, the Daily Mail reported.
Moore also posted saying that the Trump couple sent a package consisting of hats and books signed by the former US president. There were also American Girl Dolls, presidential blankets, pens and bracelets. She also shared a letter from Trump and Melania to the young girl, who lost her older sister Annistyn, 9, in a tornado that also wrecked their family home in Caruthersville, Missouri on December 10, Texas reported. News Today.
The letter said that the powerful couple are “encouraged by the strength and determination you have shown during this very difficult time.” They said the little girl, who has had successful surgery for a broken vertebra, will stay in their hearts for “full care and comfort as you continue to recover.” The Trumps have said that with Avalinn’s “steadfast spirit” and the unwavering strength and support of her wonderful family and friends, her “future potential is limitless.”
Meanwhile, her mother, Meghan Rackley, is also recovering from severe head trauma after relatives said they needed a miracle for the kindergarten teacher. The tornado had thrown the family into a field, killing Annistyn and seriously injuring Avalinn and her mother. Avalinn’s father and Alanna, who suffered less serious injuries, are now discharged from the hospital.
The plight of the Rackley family caught people’s attention when a photo of Avalinn and her sisters trying to take refuge in their bathroom began appearing online. Unfortunately, they did not succeed. In early December, tornadoes struck Kentucky, Missouri, and three other U.S. states, claiming nearly 100 lives.
