Far-right Congressman Jim Jordan from Ohio has proven to be one of former President Donald Trump’s most submissive sycophants, voting in line with Trump’s agenda 100 percent of the time during from the 117th Congress so far and embracing right-wing conspiracy theories by calling for legislation to ban vaccination warrants.
Today, Jordan captures the looming supply chain issues that Moody’s Analytics says will get worse before they get better.
There are global factors at play, with Moody’s writing:
“Border controls and mobility restrictions, the unavailability of a global vaccine pass and pent-up demand to be stuck at home have combined for a perfect storm where global production will be hampered as deliveries are not made on time, costs and prices will rise and as a result, global GDP growth will not be as robust. “
These factors seem at odds with conservative representations of Biden, including the fact that he is horribly lax in border control and tyrannical in administering his vaccines.
Nonetheless, Biden this week announced initiatives to alleviate the looming crisis, including keeping the Port of Los Angeles open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, as well as major retailers agreeing to ship more goods overnight. Despite this, it will be a challenge to have merchandise on the shelves before Black Friday.
Not surprisingly, the conservative media and elected officials blasted Biden, comparing him to the Grinch who stole Christmas.
For his part, Jordan praised Trump for allegedly ensuring that Christmas presents were delivered on time.
Not only was the claim weird, it was inaccurate, as people quickly pointed out.
Others have suggested that Jordan gravely misplaced his priorities.
