A man who claimed to have stolen only to give his daughter Christmas is back behind bars for allegedly attempting to steal polo shirts from the Dillard department store.
According to the arrest warrant:
On December 14, Noah Leverett and another suspect went to Dillard’s in Sikes Senter, selected a lot of Polo clothes, some still on the hanger, and left the store without paying. An employee tried to stop them, but they got into a car and drove away. The estimated total for Polo merchandise was $ 1,631.48.
A warrant was issued and Wichita Falls police arrested Leverett on Wednesday.
Leverett was also arrested on December 24 after police were sent to the Kohl department store on a theft complaint, according to a previous Times Record News article. Witnesses saw two men running out of the store with clothes on.
An officer saw Leverett pushing clothes through the bushes. The clothes were on hangers and still had price tags.
