South Jersey’s ‘Griswold’ Christmas house arrives in Stone Harbor

The Griswolds of South Jersey have done it again – and a little early this year too!

You’ve no doubt heard of the South Jersey family decorating their homes every year, as well as Clark Griswold’s from National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. If you’ve never seen it, well, they’ve got Clark’s station wagon, the police car from the final scene where cousin Eddie kidnaps Clark’s boss, even cousin Eddie!

The Harbaugh family of Mickleton in Gloucester County have been decorating their home the Griswold way for three years now. They draw HUGE crowds which is great for their toy drive which they sponsor through their foundation, The Harbaugh House. These people were able to give SO many children in South Jersey a fabulous Christmas that otherwise would have gone without.

Instead of waiting until the holiday season to resume their annual toy drive, the Harbaugh family decided to bring the Griswold’s to Stone Harbor. In a video shared on the family’s Facebook page, Steve Harbaugh shows how he celebrated Christmas in July for the annual Stone Harbor Festival of Lights Parade. One word comes to mind to describe their display, and it’s DEDICATION.

The Harbaughs did not laugh at these decorations. The collection of decorations and toys for Christmas in July was also accompanied by an announcement! Rather than just decorating their family home in Mickleton for the holiday season, the Harbaughs are launching a WHOLE CHRISTMAS VILLAGE. No need to travel to their home in Mickleton to enjoy all the glory of Griswold. Instead, fans of the Family Show will soon be heading to a location right next to the Water Tower in Mullica Hill, County Gloucester. The village is currently under development and will be used by the Harbaughs to continue their toy collection without disturbing the neighbors.
